This is the fingernail of a pun*ture fairy. It is their main weapon and can often be found embedded somewhere in the common bicycle tyre. If you are lucky you will have found this before it caused the damage it was intended to! edit: after some feedback I'd like to point out that the nail isn't the needle I'm holding but the small white triangular object it points to on my finger.
